A cautionary and exaggerated depiction of the effects of marijuina on innocent teenagers.

Reefer Madness (1936) has become something of a cult phenomenon with renewed waves of controversy, since its early days as a propaganda film. Originally, Tell Your Children, the film depicted wild parties, jazz music and drug dealers leading innocent teenagers astray. Reefer Madness has become funnier and funnier with time as new audiences watch these exaggerated tales of the affects of smoking 'reefer' cigarettes. Sexual relations, shootings, knocking people over with your car and playing the piano too fast are all cited as symptoms of the drug. The film has been purposefully designed to scare people out of seeing Reefer Madness 2 come to screen. It's an exercise in hilarity and while it's old world black-and-white footage may become a little tiresome, the over-the-top notions and performances are just too funny to miss out on.
